Talent Acquisition Associate

Job Overview:

The right candidate will be responsible for recruiting for positions within fast paced environments. This position requires a high volume of sourcing and interviewing. The Talent Acquisition Associate will require flexibility in availability, excellent communication skills, be customer service oriented, very organized, technically savvy to manage multiple databases, have experience with diverse sourcing techniques, strong attention to detail and have the ability to identify “red flags” during the interview process.

Recruitment Tasks:

  • Ongoing recruitment via career fairs, veteran job fairs, etc. and on-campus information sessions
  • Research and attend networking events throughout the city to build a pipeline of talent supply
  • Continue to grow talent pool by researching and engaging colleges, CBOs, veteran organizations and social media sites
  • Responsible for initial screening of talent to determine correct fit for On Demand’s services – usually done via phone interview
  • Schedule and set up in person interviews for applicants
  • Determine applicant qualifications and compatibility by understanding job descriptions and job qualifications
  • Escort candidates to interviews with client partners


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preference given to Organizational Psychology, International Studies and/or Communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • 1-2 years’ work experience in sourcing and recruitment
  • Working knowledge of social media: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Community Engagement and Partnership Tasks:

  • Research and initiate contact with educational institutions, non-profit organizations, veteran organizations and any other entities to create a steady pipeline of both veteran and non-veteran talent
  • Understand core curriculum from various colleges and how they relate to job functions On Demand is currently trying to fill
  • Stay engaged with applicant pool by fostering good relationships and building strong and trusting partnerships

Administrative Tasks may include:

  • Creating and editing job descriptions to fit the client’s needs and On Demand’s requirements
  • Updating and maintaining an active presence on social media
  • Creating flyers and PowerPoints as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
