This is a consultancy role at our partner Covanta Energy. Covanta is a world leader in providing sustainable waste and energy solutions. Annually, Covanta’s modern Energy-from-Waste facilities safely convert approximately 20 million tons of waste from municipalities and businesses into clean, renewable electricity to power one million homes and recycle approximately 500,000 tons of metal. Through a vast network of treatment and recycling facilities, Covanta also provides comprehensive industrial material management services to companies seeking solutions to some of today’s most complex environmental challenges.

Candidate Profile:

  • Post 9/11 Veteran-honorably discharged or currently serving in the National Guard / Reserve OR
  • Recent college graduate with a degree in a program related to the field
  • Availability to work full-time


  • Engage fellow colleagues in appropriate communication, managing expectations while building a collaborative relationship
  • Writes material for new training programs; reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs
  • Will use Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK) training system to develop training material (Training on UPK will be provided)
  • Using UPK, assist internal instructors in delivering training material to Covanta colleagues
  • Develop material review for new hire, ongoing and remedial training
  • Assess, design, and conceptualize training scenarios
  • Identify the best approach to training requirements
  • Support training of personnel by participating in formal classroom courses, work-shops, and seminars
  • Schedules training sessions within individual training programs ensuring facility setup, audiovisual setup, and employee notification
  • Maintains records for all training delivered
  • Assesses the effectiveness of programs developed and/or administered
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Completed Associates Degree, or equivalent time, working towards a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
  • Working knowledge of Oracle UPK
  • Good public speaker and at ease moderating large groups
  • Ability to understand and apply principles of adult learning to training development and delivery
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Required proficient Power Point skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstration of adherence to deadlines
  • Flexibility to changing requirements and contingencies
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management and staff personnel


  • Full-Time (Immediate Availability)


  • $22.00/Hour (Plus Benefits)
