WOS Launching New Veterans Program in Atlanta, GA

New Work-Study Program in Information Technology with Hewlett Packard (HP)

Classes begin July 8, 2013

HOWEVER, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE VETERANS TO FILL OUT THIS APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR NEW PROGRAMS -- WE EXPECT TO HAVE SIMILAR PROGRAMS LAUNCHING IN THE ATLANTA AREA IN THE COMING MONTHS******

Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS) will launch a new training program in Atlanta, GA for Veterans with service past September 11, 2001. This program provides a scholarship to a three-semester certificate in Information Technology, and then full-time employment. Program participants who earn their certificate and prove successful as information technology professionals during the work portion of the program can be hired by Hewlett Packard.

· Classes will be conducted 2-3 night per week from 5pm to 9pm

· Participants will work part-time at the sponsor site starting after completion of the first semester

· Participants begin full-time work as a WOS Consultant upon successful completion of the second semester

· Admission to the program is competitive

Basic Requirements:

· Military service past 9/11/2001 (Reserve and Guard included)

· Honorable Discharge

· High School Diploma or equivalent
