Amber Newsome

WOS Alumni

Amber Newsome is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where she rose to the rank of Sergeant and served in Iraq. She earned a Bachelors degree in finance from Rutgers University-Newark’s Business School in 2012. Amber earned her certificate from the Rutgers SOAR program in June 2011 and was hired in June 2012 by Prudential's PIM department, where she is a senior business analyst associate. She volunteers with Rutgers Center of Urban Enterprise and Economic Development and La Casa de Don Pedro, a nonprofit aimed at improving the quality of Newark public schools. A native of Goshen, N.Y., she currently lives in Newark with her husband, son and daughter, and enjoys dancing, riding horses and reading historical literature.
